Helsinki Biennial - Learning From The Other Artists
I was walking in Vallisaari and birds were singing
How can anything be so beautiful. Green fresh nature with lots of details and sounds of birds, pollinators, trees and sea. It is quite hard to compete with island’s nature with any kind of art. But maybe it is not a competition it is more like togetherness.
It is always interesting to see the worlds what other artists creates and also think what I would do if I would create an artwork for this precious island.
Go and see, feel, smell and experience the art in Vallisaari, Helsinki Biennial.

Here in my journal I share things and thoughts that are intriguing my mind at the moment as an artist.
They can vary a lot and I don’t have a script or plan for the next post. These are thoughts about materials, ingredients, process, light, zeitgeist, ideas - what ever comes to my mind as an artist. This is about the process and you get to hear things “behind the scenes”.
I photograph flowers, plants and mushrooms at my workspace in natural light. I design all the floral works and when the work is ready I push the button. No AI.
Thank you for reading.
