I promised myself that I will write posts more often here in my journal since now.
Why?
I have felt lately that social media has disappointed me more than once. Meta’s new guidelines doesn’t sound very good I think. So I want to invite you here to read my posts. This is my safe haven now on. I will post also in IG but I wish you can come here and see my flowers and read my words too or only. My January poetry is this photo called January Child, 2021.
January Child, 2021
I am a winter child. I was born on 26th of January 1974.
I am one of those ladies who has reached the age when things just change no matter what you think or do.
But I am also the lucky lady who is still here and working with things I love. Flowers, plants and mushrooms. Aging is a word that we are all a bit afraid of I think. Future is unknown and the pressure to do something, to be someone, to achieve goals soon is very much here and now. My goal is to grow as an artist. It is not a sprint, it is a marathon. I need to prove time after time - specially to myself - that I can do good art. But that is not enough still. So growing continues but I love the journey. If you are an artist I guess you can relate this quite easily.
