It is time to let go
Yesterday we dismantled J U S T F L O W E R S exhibition. It is the last exhibition in a row I had 2024. The year 2024 was a busy exhibition year.
The work never ends though. Being an artist is lot more than just doing art. All the work behind the scenes things like online presence and social media, taking care of the works after and before exhibitions, having a proper archive for editions, grant and open call applications, networking, research for your art, selecting and photoshopping new works, testing new paint and panting backdrops, planning new work etc the list is endless.
It is also very important to forget your art and get your creative flow back and feed the talent. Today I will feed it with antique and vintage.

Here in my journal I share things and thoughts that are intriguing my mind at the moment as an artist.
They can vary a lot and I don’t have a script or plan for the next post. These are thoughts about materials, ingredients, process, light, zeitgeist, ideas - what ever comes to my mind as an artist. This is about the process and you get to hear things “behind the scenes”.
I photograph flowers, plants and mushrooms at my workspace in natural light. I design all the floral works and when the work is ready I push the button. No AI.
