I’m on a journey with my own language of flowers

In her twenties, Järvenpää swore that she would never have a garden, it would be too much work. The home garden and houseplants were Järvenpää's mother's passion. When mother suddenly died 20 years later, the need to work with flowers and plants was huge.
The lost connection with the mother returned as a passion to photograph flowers and plants.
“Suddenly I understood what I had inherited. Flowers gave me a language to express myself.
At first, my work was to get in touch with my late mother, but over time, my personal approach has only strengthened. I’m growing and my language is developing. Working with flowers is very meditative and calming for me too” says Järvenpää.
