“I think music is a language of my soul like flowers.”
When I work with flowers at my workspace I listen a lot of different kind of music. I love singing too but that I have done too little lately. I miss it.
With flowers I try to reach a certain mood that I might not know what it will be before I begin. When I have chosen my ingredients I work in intuitive way because what ever I decide - with flowers - I would say they guide me.
I have been thinking if the music is a way to me to open my senses and it is a key to wake up my emotions. Listening live concerts is wonderful. Connection between the artist and audience is magical.
My connection with flowers might get extra fuel from the music I listen, I think.
Here in my journal I share things and thoughts that are intriguing my mind at the moment as an artist.
They can vary a lot and I don’t have a script or plan for the next post. These are thoughts about materials, ingredients, process, light, zeitgeist, ideas - what ever comes to my mind as an artist. This is about the process and you get to hear things “behind the scenes”.
I photograph flowers, plants and mushrooms at my workspace in natural light. I design all the floral works and when the work is ready I push the button. No AI.
