It Doesn’t Have To Make Sense

“She wore blue velvet (Woah-woah)
Bluer than velvet was the night (Woah-woah-woah)
Softer than satin was the light
From the stars.”

David has left us but I bet he is among the stars now in dark blue sky or beyond in mystery valleys or flying in big curtains.

David Lynch was one of my creative idols. He created a world that was his very own. Everybody knows Twin Peaks. I specially remember Blue Velvet movie because I saw it in university when I studied Cinema and Television studies. That awkward bird and picket fenses.

I love surreal. I love velvet curtains.

Lynch on curtains:

I don’t know where it came from, but I love curtains. There is something so incredibly cosmically magical about curtains opening and revealing a new world. It resonates on a deep level with people.’ (Time Out 2014)

Thank you David Lynch, we miss you and your creativity.

Here in my journal I share things and thoughts that are intriguing my mind at the moment as an artist.

They can vary a lot and I don’t have a script or plan for the next post. These are thoughts about materials, ingredients, process, light, zeitgeist, ideas - what ever comes to my mind as an artist. This is about the process and you get to hear things “behind the scenes”.

I photograph flowers, plants and mushrooms at my workspace in natural light. I design all the floral works and when the work is ready I push the button. No AI.
